A definition of NICU for those of you unfamiliar with the term.  Thanks, Wikipedia, the internet would be a lesser place without you!

These awesome hats are from Patricia Dwyer! Love them!

Welcome to Project Baby Blankets Inc.!

The mission of this project is to donate hats, blankets and booties to Illinois neonatal intensive care units (NICU for short).  We create handmade items and donate them to local hospitals.

No need to worry if your stitches are not perfect, the babies don't care!  It is such a comfort to the families in the NICU to see their baby being kept warm in a handmade item.

If crocheting, knitting or sewing is not your specialty, please consider donating yarn or spreading the word to your friends and family.

Since the conception of this project, we have donated over thousands of items!
